HAMPTON — The Mickey Moody-coached Spalding High baseball team continues its season at 6 p.m. Friday at Eagle’s Landing in Region 4-AAAA action.

Spalding (5-0 overall, 3-0 region) was looking to keep its record unblemished and run its win streak to six games in a late game Wednesday night at Dutchtown (2-3, 1-1) that was not available at press time.

Eagle’s Landing (1-4, 0-2) was also playing in a late game Wednesday night, unreported at press time, at Locust Grove (3-2, 3-0) which was tied for first in the region with Spalding when the night started.

Griffin, meanwhile, dispatched of Riverdale 20-10 in five innings to at least temporarily sit tied for first with Spalding and Locust Grove while their results were pending.

TRINITY CHRISTIAN 15, GRIFFIN CHRISTIAN 4:

SHARPSBURG — Hunter Ott, Matthew Moore and Jordan Harris had a hit each to lead Griffin Christian in a 15-4 loss Monday in its season opener at Trinity Christian.

GCHS continues its season 4 p.m., today on the road against The Weber School before coming back to the friendly confines of Nix Field 6 p.m., Friday for its home and GISA Region 4-AA opener against Harvester Christian.
