The Spalding High baseball program has been given two pizza certificates from Little Nicci’s to raffle off. One is for a medium one-topping pizza and the other one is a large one-topping pizza. Both certificates are for one pizza a week for a year.

Tickets can be bought at the Concession Stand during all (9th grade, JV, and Varsity) Spalding baseball games. Tickets are $1 each or you can get seven for $5.

If you can’t make it to Spalding game you can contact SHS Baseball Booster Club president Ted Harris at (770) 490-3908 to buy tickets. The drawing will be April 20th during the SHS baseball alumni game.

SCPRD ADULT SOFTBALL: The SCPRD is accepting adult spring softball league registration from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday at the Administrative Offices — located at 843 Memorial Drive — through March 29. The season opens April 15.

Cost is $349 for women and $445 for men. Only team registrations will be taken, and payment must be made in cash or credit card — no personal checks.

KIWANIS KIDS LEAGUE: The Kiwanis Kids league will begin playing baseball at the First Christian Church on the corner of Pinehill Road and Poplar Street at 9 a.m., March 23 and each Saturday through May 4.

An end-of-season party, complete with trophy and medallion presentations, will follow at the end of the season.

WILD GAME BANQUET: Second Baptist Church of Griffin will hold its 22nd annual Wild Game Banquet 5 p.m. on April 6 in The Fields at Second Baptist Church of Griffin.

Jeff Deaver of X-treme Christian Outdoors Television will be the featured speaker.

GRIFFIN AREA CHARITIES GOLF: The inaugural Griffin Area Charities Golf Tournament is 8:30 a.m. on April 6 at the Griffin City Golf Course. Fifty percent of the profit will be donated to Rushton’s Hope in Griffin withe the remaining proceeds to benefit local area foundations.

Cost for the four-man Fort Lauderdale is $65 per person or $260 per team. Cash prizes of $1,000 for first, $500 for second and $300 for third if there is a minimum of 25 teams.

RELAY FOR LIFE GOLF TOURNEY: Towaliga County Line Baptist Church is hosting a golf tournament 8 a.m. in April 13 at the Griffin City Golf Course to benefit Relay for Life. Cost for the 4-man best ball is $50 per person or $200 per team.
