Advanced tickets to Spalding High’s preseason scrimmage at home against LaGrange 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 16 will be on sale that week from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at SHS.
Regular season tickets will be on sale at SHS from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., beginning Aug. 1. Fans can also purchase tickets during Open House on Aug. 2 from noon until 7 p.m. at 433 Wilson Rd. A representative from SHS will also be at the Superintendent’s Office from 8 a.m., until 4 p.m. on Aug. 7.
Season passes are $20 for adults and $12 for students. The Jaguars will play four home games this year.Individual game tickets will be available at between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., at Spalding on Thursdays and Fridays before each home game at a price of $5 for adults and $3 for students.
All tickets sold at the gate will be general admission at a costt of $6 per ticket.
Griffin High tickets to go on sale Aug. 1
Reserve seating tickets to the Griffin High football games will go on sale Aug. 2 during GHS’s open house at 1617 West Polar St., from noon to 7 p.m. in the front lobby.
Advance tickets will also be on sale between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., Aug. 7 at the Superintendent’s Office, 216 South 6th St. The third time Griffin fans can purchase advance season tickets is from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Aug. 8 and 9 at Griffin High School.
Reserve seating is $25 per adult or $15 per student for the whole season. The Bears play five regular season home games this season. All tickets sold at the gate will be general admission at a cost of $6 per ticket.
Griffin will also host Newnan at 7 p.m., on Aug. 17 in a preseason scrimmage. General admission tickets to this game will be on sale when you purchase your season tickets and on game day at Griffin High from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Advance tickets to the Griffin vs. Newnan scrimmage are $3 per seat. Tickets at the gate to the preaseason scrimmage are $5 per adult and $3 per student.
GHS softball team holding tryouts
The Griffin High softball team will hold practice/tryouts beginning 4 p.m, Aug. 1 at the field for all girls wishing to play on the team this year.

SHS softball team holding camp
Spalding High School will hold a team meeting and softball camp for any girl interested in playing softball for the 2007 season. The meeting will be held July 30-31 at 4 p.m. at Spalding’s softball field.
Tryouts are open for girls in 9-12 grades. Those attended should bring physical forms to the meeting. Forms can be picked up at the front desk at Spalding. For more, call (770) 229-3775.

BBQ is Aug. 17
The Spalding High Touchdown Booster Club will hold its annual barbeque reverse raffle 7 p.m., Aug. 17 at the Pavillion on Aerodrome Way.

Bears to hawk donuts, bag groceries Saturday
The Griffin High Bears football team will hold a donut sale on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Wal-Mart.
The same day the Bears football team will also help bag groceries at Kroger between the hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
