Mr. James Wesley “Bug” Butler, 68, passed away Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007, at Spalding Regional Medical Center.

Mr. Butler was born Sept. 21, 1938, in Spalding County, to the late Arthur Wesley Butler and the late Annie Lou Maxwell Butler. He was retired from Chester Jones Transmission. In addition to his parents, Mr. Butler was preceded in death by his sisters, Carolyn Butler, Bonita Phillips, Shirley Sorrow; and brothers, Billy Butler and Ray Butler.

Survivors include his wife, Imogene Butler; sons, Gregory Butler and his wife, Cindy, and Richard Butler and his wife, Karen; four grandchildren, Hannah, Haley, Lauren and Lydia Butler; brothers, Franklin and Maude Butler and family and Wayne and Gloria Butler and family; brothers and sisters-in-law, Noah Gilleland and his wife and family, Jerry Fouts and family, Mae Thayer and family, Ronald Gilleland and family, Lillian Pitts and family, Bell Kendrick, Donnie Gilleland and family and Fred Phillips and family; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. James Wesley “Bug” Butler will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, in the chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Friends may visit the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 24, at the funeral home.
