She was born in Meansville to the late Henry Clark and Oline Storey Clark. She was a longtime member of Fincher United Methodist Church in Meansville and was a caseworker for the Pike County Department of Family and Children Services. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lamar Clark.
She is survived by her husband, J.D. “Jimmy” Wesley; sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Dee Wesley of Meansville and Mark and Gina Wesley of Griffin; grandchildren, Brooke Smith and her husband, Yancey, Brad Wesley, Danny Wesley and his wife, Megan, and Jake Wesley; and great-grandchildren, Ethan Wesley and Brent Smith.
Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Clark Wesley will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, at Fincher United Methodist Church with the Rev. Gene Walton and the Rev. Bob Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Fincher Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Wesley will be taken to the church for viewing 30 minutes prior to the service. Friends may visit the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Mrs. Wesley may be made to the Fincher United Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 327, Meansville, GA 30256.
