High on the agenda for Tuesday’s Griffin-Spalding County Board of Education meeting will be the announcement of the systemwide Teacher of the Year.

The three finalists are Spalding High School teacher Cheryl Clark, Cowan Road Middle School teacher Debbie Hudson and Griffin High School teacher Patrick Wallace.

The board also plans to recognize Griffin High School student Baele Harmon as a Young Georgia Authors state winner and Futral Road Elementary School for its designation as a national No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon School by U.S. Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings.

The 6 p.m. meeting will be in the board room at 216 S. Sixth St.
