“Flying High in the Garden,” at the University of Georgia Research and Education Garden has been re-set for 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 22. People of all ages are encouraged to come out and bring their kites. A kite flying contest will also be held.

The Griffin-Spalding Retired Educators Association is offering a $500 memorial scholarship to an employee of the Griffin-Spalding School System who is working towards teacher certification. Applicants may be substitutes or any classified employees who are currently in a teacher education program or have been accepted into one.
