Mr. Miller is preceded in death by his father, Herbert Lanier Miller, and his brothers, Marvin Miller and Joel Miller. He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Pat Miller; sons, Eddie Miller of Butler, Ga., and Jason Miller and his wife Jennifer of McDonough; stepsons, Phillip Bruce of Griffin, Joey Bruce of Griffin, Cleveland Bruce of Griffin and Sammy Bruce and his wife Jennifer of McDonough; stepdaughter, Michelle Doss and her husband Michael; 14 grandchildren; mother, Mary Hillman of Griffin; sisters, Mary Ann Helms of Griffin and Betty J. Thorpe of Rome; brothers, David Miller and his wife Jamie of Rome, Russell L. Miller and his wife Diane of Griffin and Bruce E. Miller of Griffin.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2009, at the Fayetteville chapel of Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Carol Renfroe officiating. Interment will be at Camp Memorial Park. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 3, 2009.
