School board to consider 2010 budget

Among the items on the agenda for the Griffin-Spalding County Board of Education meeting Tuesday will be a first reading of the school system’s fiscal year 2010 budget and an amendment to the fiscal year 2009 budget.

In addition, recognition will be given to the system media specialist of the year, Aspiring Leadership Academy graduates, New Administrator Academy graduates, Georgia Master Teacher 2009-2010 nominees and 2009 Georgia Master Teacher Joanna Johnson.

A presentation will also be given on the school system’s Georgia High School Graduation Test scores.

The 6 p.m. meeting will be in the board room at 216 S. Sixth St.
