Mr. Wilbur Alan “Pete” Prince, age 60, of Griffin, passed away Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, at Spalding Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Prince was born March 8, 1949, in Spalding County, to the late Willie Amos Prince and the late Rosa Elizabeth Middlebrooks Prince. He was preceded in death by his sister, Tammy Prince. Mr. Prince was a member of Friendship Congregational Holiness Church in Brooks and was a body technician for Curry’s Collision Center.
Survivors include his wife, Paulette Prince, of Griffin; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Gina Prince, of Griffin; daughter, Jenny Spear, of Griffin; grandchildren, Lexi Spear, Dylan Prince and Maya Prince; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Jerry Eller, of Milledgeville, Judy and Charlie Hendrick, of Thomaston Marie and Shorty Wells, of Williston, Fla.; brothers and sister-in-law, Willie and Dianne Prince, of Griffin and Willard Prince, of Thomaston; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Wilbur Alan “Pete” Prince will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, in the chapel of Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. The Rev. Gene Middlebrooks and the Rev. Billy Anderson will officiate. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit the family from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 18, at the funeral home.
