According to the GHSA Web site, the Lady Jags actually finished fifth out of 32 teams, not sixth as was originally reported.
“I told the girls that I wanted them to finish in the top 10, but to actually finish in the top 5 is tremendous,” said Lady Jags head coach Dolores Owen. “That’s a big feat to do with only four girls competing,”
Spalding scored a school-record 29 points last weekend.
