He was born in Henry County on Feb. 15, 1941, to the late Joel Clark and Jewel Brown Gaddy Vaughn.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Vaughn was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Joel Vaughn, Tom Vaughn, Allen Vaughn, Gene Gaddy, Barbara Pope, Faye Crawford and Joann Davis.
He is survived by a son, Robby Vaughn of Thomaston; and daughters, Brenda Vaughn and Ellen Harris, both of Griffin.
Other survivors include several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Mr. Roger Robert Vaughn will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2010, in Vaughn Family Cemetery in Pike County with the Rev. Terry Butler officiating.
The Vaughn family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until noon today.
