Those who wish to vote in the Nov. 2 general election must register by Monday.

Voter registration applications are available at the Spalding County Office of Elections (and) Voter Registration, Flint River Regional Library and on-line at www.sos.ga.gov.

All name and address changes must also be made by the deadline.

“If they’ve moved since they last registered, they need to change their address to make it current,” said Robin Veal, a registrar at the Spalding County Electionsoffice.

Early voting is available at Memorial Drive Plaza Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., until Oct. 29. Early voting is also available on a single Saturday, Oct. 23, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The last day to apply for an absentee ballot is Oct. 29 as well.

Per Georgia law, a photographic ID is required to vote. Valid forms of ID include a Georgia driver’s license, any valid state or federal government-issued photo ID, a valid U.S. passport, a valid government employee photo ID, a valid U.S. military photo ID card or a valid tribal photo ID card.
